Rishabh Pant found a place in India’s playing eleven for the fourth ODI against Australia after MS Dhoni was rested for the final two games of the series.
He scored a 24-ball 36 laced with a six and four boundaries during India’s innings, but had a pretty mediocre day behind the stumps at Mohali on Sunday, 10 March.
As India struggled to defend its massive 358-run total, wicketkeeper-batsman Pant had several misses during the last 11 overs.
And every time the 21-year-old made a boo-boo while wicketkeeping, the Mohali crowd made sure to remind him that he was still second-best, by chanting his senior Dhoni’s name.
Twitter Reminds Pant He’s No Match for Dhoni
While Indian skipper Virat Kohli called the team’s fielding "sloppy”, majority of Twitterverse was adamant in reminding Pant that he was still no match for Dhoni.
