Former Indian cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir, who was accused earlier of distributing pamphlets containing obscene remarks on East Delhi Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rival candidate Atishi, has been supported by the cricketing fraternity who stood with him and denied the charges that were put upon him.
Denying the charges, Gambhir had earlier sent defamation notices to Atishi including other leaders of the party like Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal.
With time, Gambhir’s support has grown stronger as the general public as well as people from the cricketing fraternity are lending their support behind the former Indian cricketer.
Gambhir even went to the extent of saying that he will hang himself publicly if proven guilty in the pamphlet row.
Meanwhile, support for Gambhir has gathered strength on Twitter. Here are some of the former and current Indian cricketers speaking on Gambhir’s behalf.
