Michael Phelps has been doing what he does best.
With the world cheering him on, the 31-year old American swimmer has already won three golds medals at the Rio Olympics in just four days.
However, Phelps’ biggest yet tiniest fan has been his son, 3-month old Boomer Phelps who has almost stolen daddy’s limelight.
Accompanied at the events by his mother Nicole Johnson and grandmother Deborah Phelps, Boomer has taken the internet by storm with his patriotic little outfits, noise-cancelling headphones and adorable little expressions.
Phelps Junior, a Social Media Sensation
American model Nicole Johnson created an account for her son on Instagram where she has been regularly posting pictures of Boomer’s trip to Rio. And they’re the cutest pictures we’ve seen so far in the ongoing Rio games.
Don’t miss the captions!
Grumpy Boomer Phelps
To protect little Boomer’s ears from all the screaming (read: cheering) in the Olympic venue, mummy Nicole has been making him wear patriotic earmuffs. However, the tiny guy hasn’t been taking those huge things too well.
Daddy’s Favourite Supporter
With three gold medals added to his tally and two more events to go, Boomer seems to be the only one Michael wants to see in the stands while he’s swimming. The father and son together are way cuter than Phelps trying not to cry while receiving his medals at the podium.
The only thing cuter than Boomer is Boomer and Michael together!
