Manish Pandey took a blinder at the boundary on Wednesday to dismiss Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed. Pandey was a substitute fielder, who was on the pitch after Hardik Pandya had to be stretchered off the pitch due to a back injury.
Pandey, who was standing at the long on, ran towards the right to catch the ball after Sarfraz decided to hit Kedar Jadhav wide over long on in the 25th over. Pandey had to cover a lot of ground and thus his momentum ensured he crossed the rope. Pandey, like many times he did in the IPL, threw the ball up in the air as he went beyond the boundary. He came back in and caught the ball again before it fell to the ground.
Before being dismissed, Sarfraz faced 12 balls to add six runs to the score. His wicket initiated the collapse that saw Pakistan go from 96/3 to 121/7 all taken by Kedar Jadhav.
