The wait spanning for over two decades is over. “The Man, The Myth, The Legend” Goldberg is set to go one on one against “The Phenom” The Undertaker at the WWE Super ShowDown on 7 June, 2019.
Below is the statement that WWE put out on their official website.
The Saudi General Sports Authority will host WWE Super ShowDown at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 7, at 9 p.m. AST (2 p.m. ET), and feature the first-ever match between WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg and Undertaker.
Goldberg took to Instagram to comment on the match-up.
The Hall of Famer said it had been extremely tough for him to accept this match. He also said that this match would have been a dream 10-15 years ago and admitted to the fact that the match was happening a bit late in his career.
He added that since the past cannot be changed, he is preparing for the war one more time.
Both The Undertaker, and Goldberg are way past their prime and the match may eventually end up being a very short one. It may not be the kind of match we would have got 10-15 years ago, but it is definitely a match that fans have been waiting to catch for a long time.
The quality of the match cannot be guaranteed, but what can be guaranteed is the fact, that the atmosphere in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will be electric once these two legends start to exchange blows.
