Martin Guptill, Jaydev Unadkat, Robin Uthappa and Tim Southee are some of the big names that have been left without a franchise following the 15 November IPL retention deadline.
While defending champions Mumbai Indians retained its core team including veteran Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga, they also released 12 players. Some big moves by CSK as well as Dhoni’s team let go of England cricketers Sam Billings and David Willey besides three Indian players ahead of the 19 December IPL auction.
