Rain Delays Start After Rajasthan Elect to Field Against Bangalore

Heavy rains in Bengaluru has delayed the start of match 49 of the Indian Premier League match between Royals Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday.

Earlier, Steve Smith Steve, leading the Rajasthan Royals for one last time this season won the toss and elected to field against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Bangalore made a couple of changes. Pawan Negi makes his way back into the team, while Kulwant plays his first game in place of Shivam Dube. For Rajasthan, only Mahipal Lomror comes in place for Ashton Turner.

In the earlier meeting this season, Rajasthan had got the better off Bangalore in Jaipur where the home team won by seven wickets.

Both Rajasthan and Bangalore occupy the seventh and eighth spot of the points table respectively. Though Rajasthan are still in with a chance to make it to the playoffs with 10 points from 12 matches, Bangalore are practically are no more in the running for a playoff spot. Virat Kohli and Co are on eight points from 12 matches.
