IPL 2019: Warner Signs Off IPL 2019 Wearing The Orange Cap

David Warner played his last match of this year’s IPL against Kings XI Punjab on Monday, 29 April and is leaving for the World Cup preparations in Australia.

Warner’s last match saw him make an incredible 81 off 56 deliveries. Powered by the southpaw’s innings, SRH posted a massive total of 212-6 and later restricted Kings XI Punjab to 167-8 to win the match by 45 runs.

Warner has been phenomenal for Sunrisers this season and has been one of the prime reasons for Hyderabad’s good performance.

He has scored a massive 692 runs in 12 games at a strike rate of over 140 with one century and eight half centuries to his name.

As on Tuesday, 30 April, David Warner is the highest run scorer in the IPL with 692 runs and holds the orange cup. KL Rahul, with 520 runs against his name, is second on the list.

The IPL is headed towards its business end and with the playoffs set to start from 7 May, and the World Cup looming around, players would like to perform at their level best.
