Kolkata Knight Riders' Chris Lynn said on Sunday, 7 April, that he was "lucky" when the ball hit the wicket but the bail did not fall and he was given a not-out.

After the match, Harry Gurney interviewed Chris Lynn and asked about the ball hitting the leg-stump getting hit and the bail not falling, Lynn said, "I am happy to ride on that luck."

Lynn said, "I always walked around my luck... Told the umpire that I had inside edged it for a boundary. I am happy to ride that luck, I might actually go to casino tonight."

"Absolutely. Sounds like a plan," said Harry Gurney.

Former England cricketer Michael Vaughn, on Twitter, suggested a "simple rule change". He wrote, "If the Zinger bails are going be used which I like .. If the Ball hits the stumps and the Bail lights up then it must be OUT ... We can’t be having Bowlers Bowl a Batsman out then the bails not to come off but the Zingers be flashing (sic)"

Gurney Had ‘Butterflies’ Before IPL Debut

Harry Gurney, who made his IPL debut in Sunday's match, told Lynn that he was "a little bit nervous". He said, "I was a little bit nervous at the hotel this afternoon... a few butterflies... I always am but when I arrived at the ground and started warming up, I was fine.

Openers Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn tore the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack to shreds to help Kolkata Knight Riders notch up an easy eight-wicket win in their IPL match in Jaipur on Sunday.

Chasing 140 for a win, Narine (47) and Lynn (50) shared 91 runs for the opening stand in 8.3 overs to take the game away from Rajasthan Royals as KKR reached the target with 6.1 overs to spare.

The win, which took KKR to the top of the table with eight points from five matches (4 wins and 1 loss), was the best of this season in terms of number of balls to spare.
