The 2019 Indian Premier League marked a new beginning for the Delhi franchise after they were rechristened to Delhi Capitals. Now with the season coming to an end, it looks like the new name and new identity have changed the fortunes of the side.
For the first time, Delhi have been able to win a knockout match in the history of IPL and before that they qualified for their first playoffs since 2012.
With the win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday in the Eliminator, Delhi Capitals are only one win away from a place in their maiden IPL final. They need to get the better off the mighty Chennai Super Kings, whom they play in the second qualifier on Friday, 10 May.
