Sunrisers Hyderabad Win IPL 2016

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have done it! Even after letting Bangalore score 112 runs in 10 overs, Hyderabad didn’t give up. Once they got Gayle out, Hyderabad kept chipping away with wickets and in the end won the game by eight runs and became champions.

Ben Cutting emerged as the highest wicket taker for Hyderabad with two wickets.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 18 runs from the last over with Sachin Baby and Chris Jordan in the middle. Jordan got run out in the third ball with RCB needing 15 runs from three balls.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar defended the runs and Hyderabad cliched the title for the first time. Royal Challengers Bangalore ended their 20 overs at 200/7.

Stuart Binny Run Out

Another wicket! Hooda executed a perfect throw to get Binny run out while he was trying to get back for a second run.

RCB need 18 from six balls to win the final with Baby and Jordan in the middle.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Concedes Only Seven Runs

Sachin Baby and Stuart Binny are not able to play Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s yorkers. They managed only four runs from the first five balls and then Baby hit a boundary when Bhuvneshwar missed his length.

RCB need 30 from 12 balls.

Mustafizur Gets Watson

Another wicket for SRH! Now Hyderabad are well and truly in the driver’s seat. Watson gives a high catch to Henriques and gets out for eleven off Mustafizur’s bowling.

It’s down to Stuart Binny and Sachin Baby for RCB, they need 38 more runs from 19 balls.

Cutting Strikes Twice

Ben Cutting gets KL Rahul bowled! The match is slowly tilting towards Hyderabad’s favour now. Rahul completely missed the delivery and the ball swiftly hit the stumps.

Bangalore need just one more partnership but if Hyderabad keep chipping away with wickets, they can take the trophy home.

RCB need 47 runs from 24 balls with Watson and Sachin Baby in the middle.
