After playing in South Africa, England and Australia in 2018, Team India will be spending a considerable amount of of time back home in India in 2019.
Continuing with their tour of Australia in January, India will play out the fourth and final Test before a three-match ODI series. After Australia, India will be in neighbouring New Zealand for five ODIs and three T20Is.
After 18 years, Zimbabwe will be in India for a full-fledged tour in March.
From April till July, it will be like a festive period for cricket fans from India as well as other nations. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League will be followed by the ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
ICC’s new global tournament – the Test Championship – will also begin from this year. Cycle 1, which will go on till April 2021, will begin right after the World Cup in July.
Meanwhile, India will be in the Caribbean in July and August. South Africa, Bangladesh and Windies will be coming to India during the last quarter of 2019.
