The Royal Challengers Bangalore made their first purchase in the IPL auction for the 2019 season by getting West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer for Rs 4.2 crore.
The team also got all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann for his base price of Rs 50 lakh.
The RCB just had three batsmen in their squad before the auction began, and would be looking to get some batting depth today.
Going into the auction the team had Rs 18.15 crore in their kitty, with 10 spots to fill.
