On day four of the second Test in Perth, Indian seamer Ishant Sharma was seen involved in a long and heated spat with his teammate all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Both Ishant and Jadeja were engaged in an argument for over 90 seconds, according to one of the commentators, as the duo was seen pointing fingers at each other.

It is yet to be known what led to the argument. Kuldeep Yadav, who was carrying drinks to the field and Mohammad Shami, were the ones to separate the duo. During the course of the spat, Ishant and Jadeja were quite animated and needed to be separated on many occasions.

After the meek surrender in Perth in the second Test and the news of in-form opener Prithvi Shaw being ruled out from the Test series due to ankle injury, the Indian opener wouldn’t want the two senior pros to be involved in any kind of war of words which could spoil the team morale ahead of the third Test.

Ishant Sharma finished with five wickets in the match while Jadeja was on the field as a substitute fielder in the second Test.

The selectors have named a replacement for the teenager in the form of an uncapped Mayank Agarwal.
