They ended up buying K L Rahul for Rs 11 crore, who was the joint most expensive Indian players along with Manish Pandey.
After an eventful first half, the team was quieter bunch after the lunch.
At the end of the first day, Kings XI Punjab ended up buying nine players, including three foreigners.
Day two of the auction was equally busy for the Punjab outfit. They bought eleven more players, which included Windies superstar Chris Gayle.
