Indian Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against West Indies due to an injury. Shardul Thakur is likely to be named as the replacement although there has been no official statement from the BCCI or the Indian team yet.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been battling with injuries since the Indian Premier League this year. He went to play the World Cup in June but picked up an hamstring injury during a match against Pakistan and had to walk off midway.
After missing the first two series of the home season against South Africa and Bangladesh, Bhuvneshwar made a comeback in the T20I series against West Indies. But Bhuvneshwar has reportedly picked up another Hamstring injury during the series.
According to a report by India Today, a senior BCCI functionary told PTI, "Bhuvneshwar has been ruled out of the series and Shardul will be replacing him."
Bhuvi’s Replacement, Shardul Thakur has not played for India since the 2018 Asia cup.
