No Rest For Indian Team, BCCI Announce Dates of WI Tour in June

India will play five ODIs and one T20 in the Caribbean.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have finalised the schedule for the five-ODI and one T20 series, which will be held in the Caribbean.

India will play West Indies in the first ODI at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago on 23 June and the last T20 will be played on 9 July at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

This series will be India’s first bilateral ODI series in West Indies since June 2011. The visitors had clinched the series 3-2.

India have been playing constantly since September last year. Since the three-match Test series against New Zealand, the men in blue have played 10 Test matches, 8 ODIs and 3 T20s.

After the Test series against Australia ended on 28 March, the Indian players moved into the IPL, which began on 5 April.

Once the IPL comes to an end on 21 May, India are scheduled to play their first Champions Trophy match on 4 June. And if they make the final, they will continue to play till 18 June.

Here’s a look at the schedule for India’s tour of West Indies:

23 June, Friday – 1st ODI, Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago

25 June, Sunday – 2nd ODI, Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago

30 June, Friday – 3rd ODI, SVRS, North Sound, Antigua

2 July, Sunday – 4th ODI, SVRS, North Sound, Antigua

6 July, Thursday – 5th ODI, Sabina Park, Jamaica
