Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal, who met a serious health emergency on Tuesday (30 January) whilst aboard an Agartala to New Delhi IndiGo flight, is now in a stable condition. The incident happened when the Karnataka captain drank liquid from a pouch, which he assumed to be water. However, he soon felt a burning sensation, and had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the ILS Hospital in Agartala.

The hospital informed that Agarwal experienced ‘oral irritation’ and ‘swelling on lips’, but he was found to be clinically stable. The cricketer is expected to be released from the hospital today.
