After a splendid performance at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, athletes from the Indian contingent returned home to a rousing welcome. Not only were they received amid much fanfare at the airport, but were also felicitated by several authorities.

Putting up their third-best show after the Delhi Games in 2010 and Manchester Games in 2002, India bagged a total of 66 medals at the Commonwealth Games in Australia this year.

Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat on 18 April felicitated army athletes, who brought home a haul of three gold, three silver and four bronze medals from the CWG 2018.
