Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea breezed past S Robert and A Sidorenko in the first round of the men’s doubles draw of the French Open on Wednesday.
The number six seeds, who beat their opponents 6-2, 6-2 held their serve throughout the match and broke Robert and Sidorenko four times in the match.
Bopanna and Mergea committed only two unforced errors but could serve only one ace in the match.
The Indo-Romanian pair will face the winner of the match between G Barrere/Q Halys and D Molchanov/D Sela in the second round.
