Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won gold in the men's doubles tennis event at the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta on Friday.
The Indian duo defeated Aleksandr Bublik-Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan 6-3, 6-4 in the men's doubles final which lasted for less than an hour.
It was total dominance from the Indian pair. Bopanna and Sharan clinched the first set in 25 minutes and took around 27 minutes to wrap up the second set.
In the semi-final, Rohan Bopanna and Sharan won 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 against Japan's Kaito Uesugi and Sho Shimabukoro in a three-set thriller which lasted for 72 minutes.
This was India’s second medal of the day in tennis after Ankita Raina collected het bronze medal in women’s singles.
