Samaya Clark-Gabriel is in the first grade, and if you’d see her play basketball, you’ll agree that she’s ready to be a star. She’s a master dribbler and the tricks up her sleeve are unbelievable.
She can dribble two balls with a blindfold, can weave around cones, can play catch with a tennis ball while playing and can score even though the basket is meters above her. Her favourites are Tina Charles and Stephen Curry; and she wants to be better than them.
Before her tryst with basketball, she tried her hand (feet, rather) at football and boxing. Even there, she was far superior to anybody within her age group.
Little Samaya’s game is impressive, and with support and training, she’s sure to make it very, very big.
