Here’s a toast to Virat Kohli. The boy in blue who wears his attitude on his sleeves. His love for the game makes him raise his bat and fingers with equal gusto. His love life is an open book even though it may be turned to the wrong chapter right now.

You may love him or hate him, but you can’t ignore him. And you obviously cannot ignore the ‘behavioural’ evolution of this Delhiwalla – from an arrogant cricketer to a gentleman. It’s been quite a transition for the 27-year-old but we aren’t complaining. We love the new Virat Kohli.

Bring Out the Bro-code!

He’s yaara da yaar and Yuvraj da prah (brother)!

When you are bored and nothing on tv 🙄 @yuvisofficial . #bored

While the country questioned the injured Yuvraj Singh when he decided to stay on at the crease, Kohli in his post-match interview applauded Yuvi’s efforts and silenced critics.

He (Yuvraj) just decided that he was just going to go for the team’s cause. He perished, but it was a good thought because if you are injured, you might as well make the most of the balls that you are going to play because you are not going to be able to push as much as you want to push, as a runner. I think that was a great call.

India, India, Indi-Yeah!

The blue-eyed boy of Team India showed true sportsmanship when he heard fans chanting his name. Kohli turned around and asked fans to cheer for India and not for him.

Lata Mangeshkar said in a tweet, “woh khud hi tareef hain.”

We’ve seen his boorish behaviour on the field and his ‘take no shit’ attitude but never have we seen him extend such brotherhood across the border. Before the India- Pakistan World T20, Kohli gifted his bat to Mohammed Amir and welcomed him back to international cricket.

He (Amir) is a very skilful bowler and I wish him all the best. He has worked hard to come this far and it takes a lot of courage.
