Smt KC Gandhi School’s opening batsman Pranav Dhanawade remained not out on 1009 after his team declared the innings on 1465/3 on day two of the two-day league match against Arya Gurukul School in the HT Bhandari Cup inter-school tournament organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
The 15-year-old became the first player to register a four-digit score.
Dhanawade remained not out on 652 at the end of day one with his team amassing 956/1.
The 15-year-old’s father Prashant, who is an autorickshaw driver was thrilled with his son’s performance.

Dhanawade eased past the highest individual score of 546 by Prithvi Shaw in the 2014 Harris Shield tournament in a single day.
Smt KC Gandhi school also recorded the highest ever total on day two after they went past the previous record of 1107 scored by Victoria against NSW in 1926.
