India’s cricket team will be followed to England by their ‘biggest fan’ Sudhir Kumar Gautam for the Champions Trophy, next month.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Sudhir has been granted UK visa, which he applied for by paying Rs 26,000. He had also attached a letter from Sachin Tendulkar himself for the visa.
"I am writing to confirm that Mr. Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary has been an ardent supporter of the Indian Cricket Team and has become an unofficial mascot of the team due to his enthusiasm," Sachin said in the letter, published by Deccan Chronicle.
Sudhir has diligently followed his idol Sachin everywhere. He used to paint himself in tricolour before every match Sachin played and has continued the tradition even after the Master Blaster’s retirement.
The Quint met Sudhir just before he painted himself for the premier of Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
