Sushma Swaraj proves that a minister’s work never ends, given how she takes to Twitter after hours to help people in need. Faizan Patel contacted Swaraj as his wife could not make it to their honeymoon – and she made sure his wife would be on the seat next to him.
Patel elaborated his story, recounting how his wife lost her passport two days before they had to leave.
He obviously didn’t like leaving his wife behind and took matters into his own hands, and onto Twitter.
Sushma Swaraj saved the day (and their honeymoon) as she informed them about the new passport being en route to Patel’s wife, and her shortly being en route to their honeymoon.
Twitter, however, was savage as usual and pulled up old tweets by Patel, wherein he was harsh and critical of Swaraj and others in the government.
Clearly, Twitterati missed the point of the accessibility of a minister and the fact that it’s her job to help people, regardless of how they view her or the government in power.
Until then, Sushma Swaraj, please keep being the badass you are and helping people in distress – no matter how big or small it may be.
