A native of Sultanpur Village in Bihar's Samastipur district, late Sepoy Aman Kumar joined the Indian Army in 2014, at the age of 19.

The martyr is survived by parents, two brothers, a sister and wife Minu Devi who he married in February 2019.

Aman last visited home for eight days in February 2020. Before leaving for a new posting in the Ladakh, he promised his father

that he will come back in July and take his father to Delhi for his heart treatment.
He last called home on June 2 when he spoke to his mother and asked about his family's well being.
