Pammi Kaur can’t keep calm because it’s Deepika Padukone’s 32nd birthday. The Quint’s RJ Stutee lets her alter ego take over as Pammi Kaur decides to have a heart to heart with birthday girl Deepika Padukone.
And here are 6 things that not just Pammi, but that we all love about our ‘Mastani’.
1. Aap bade talented ho
She made her debut with Om Shanti Om starring opposite King Khan, after which there was no stopping her. And the rest is history. Thereafter, she gave us blockbuster hits like Chennai Express, Ramleela, Piku and Bajirao. Hmmm, it’s no walk in the park to find a talent like her.
2. You are very professional
Ranbir Kapoor might have been her ex but she has had her head and tattoo together when it came to onscreen performances with him. Most people get busy holding grudges against their exes, but not Deepika. Despite all that happened, she stole our hearts with her performance in Yeh Jawaani Hain Jewani and Tamasha.
3. You are very relatable
Yes, relatable! Everytime people made a fiasco about her deep necks and sexy bare long legs, we could so relate, because we’ve been victims of moral policing too!
4. You take no shit
We are in awe of how she got back at TOI on Twitter when they made a fuss about her cleavage.
“YES!I am a Woman. I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!??”
And what an awesome way of striking back at Karni Sena!
“No one can stop the release of the film”
# Respect
5. Advocate for mental health
She also brought the issue of depression into the limelight. She started the 'Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF)’ to create awareness about mental health and to help a society battling depression.
6. Aap Bade Hi Daring Type Ke Ho
We are proud that she hasn’t given up on Bhansali. Despite the FIR on Ramleela, protests against Bajirao Mastani and the recent Padmavati row, she still stood by his side. Again, #Respect.
Well, Deepika, we hope you have a great year ahead and for everything you do-more power to you.
Happy Birthday!
