As a part of our election coverage, The Quint visited a university in Jalandhar to ask some first-time voters about their expectations from the upcoming Assembly elections in Punjab.
The Quint spoke to some students who will be casting their votes for the first time ever this year. The 18-year-old students had much to say about the upcoming elections.
In a candid Facebook live chat, the students told us about the first thought that springs to mind when they hear the word “elections”. They also revealed their pick for the Chief Minister of Punjab. The young voters also spoke about the drug problem in Punjab and revealed the issues they wanted political parties to include in their manifestos.
