Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and current Garhwal MP Major General BC Khanduri (Retd) spoke with CNN-IBN on the issue of One Rank One Pension, while ex-servicemen keep the pressure on the government while continuing their relay hunger strike.

The government has the intention to do it (bring in OROP), not sure why the delay. I will take up the matter with PM.

Khanduri, apart from General VK Singh (Retd) is one of the oldest and highest ranking ex-serviceman in BJP. He also heads the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence.

Khanduri was present at the pre-election Rewari rally where Narendra Modi had made the election promise of OROP.
