Looks like the Supreme Court really needs to get its act together. Although they have cleared the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi of sexual harassment allegations, there’s still a lot of discontent about how the case was dealt with by the Supreme Court, which is the keeper of law and justice in the country and some of the discontent has poured out in the streets as well.
As you know the CJI was given a clean chit, on Monday, 5 May, by the in-house inquiry panel headed by Justice Bobde. In its report, the panel wrote that there was “no substance” in the allegations but also that the findings wouldn’t be made public but can only be submitted to the CJI as per the law.
Why aren’t people ready to accept the clean chit given to CJI Gogoi? Why are they protesting? Tune in to The Big Story for more!
