Tabrez Ansari was tied to a pole and beaten mercilessly for over seven hours. The crowd was accusing him of theft. All of this was recorded on camera.

Five days later, on 22 June, Tabrez died of his injuries.

Two days after Tabrez lost his life, his wife Shahista discovered she was pregnant. But, not for long; she suffered a miscarriage and lost her child in the weeks following Tabrez’s death.
