Retro is the new fad. Many classic designs are making a comeback in gadgets as well as in automobiles. Why is that so? Classic designs are timeless or they have immense brand recall, that companies find it convenient to tap into that sentiment.
Take designs like the Jeep Wrangler, Mercedes G-Wagen or Mini Cooper for instance. Even though these vehicles are all modern under the skin, they still stand true to the retro design form. Royal Enfield and Jawa are other brands following this design trend.
It’s not limited to automobiles alone. Among phones too, phones like the Nokia 8110, and 3310 are making a comeback. Some like Blackberry have tried to retain their classic looks. And then there are gadgets like the Saregama Carvaan, that looks like a transistor radio of yore.
