Comedian Kapil Sharma is set to marry girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on 12 December. In an interview with IANS, Sharma revealed that the wedding will take place in Chatrath’s hometown of Jalandhar, followed by a reception in Kapil’s hometown in Amritsar on 14 December.

Kapil Sharma put all speculations to rest last year in March, when he introduced his long time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath, in an Instagram post. Now, we hear, they are set to get married in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in the bride’s hometown, Phagwara (near Jalandhar).

Here are the latest pictures from the pre-wedding festivities.

Sharing a photo on Instagram, Krushna Abhisekh, who was earlier Kapil’s TV rival, wrote, “All night fun on kapil ki shaadi in Amritsar, aaj sab jaag rahe hain as jagran hai 🙏jai mata di.” The actor also posted photos while leaving for Amritsar. “All on our way to Amritsar for kapil s marriage excited n full of energy yeahhhhhh choleee bhatureee tikiii ah ha food in Amritsar n fun with the team,”

TV Actor, Sumona Chakravati also posted an update saying - ‘Wohoo..n the next big fat Indian wedding starts!!’ Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa announced their arrival in Amritsar too. Singer Richa Sharma shared a video of them being welcomed by dhol beats.

According to what sources told Mumbai Mirror, a Mata Ka Jaagran was organised at Kapil’s sister’s residence on December 10 that was followed by a Mehendi and a Sangeet ceremony will be held at Ginni’s place on 11 December. And the wedding will take place on 12 December in Phagwara.

A reception in Mumbai will also be organised on 24 December for his industry friends and colleagues. 23 December will be the day when he makes his TV comeback with The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Television.
