The legendary Irish rock band U2 is all set to perform in India on Sunday, 15 December, and they have already arrived. The band comprises frontman Bono, guitarist the Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr, and the members were clicked at Mumbai airport today. And they sure knew how to please the paparazzi!
The band also took to social media to announce its arrival. The official handle of the band tweeted, “Touching down in Mumbai... So excited to be here! Bono, Edge, Adam, Larry” along with a photo of the band posing under the night sky. They’re standing in front of an airplane that reads “The Joshua Tree Tour 2019”
The band is set to bring their acclaimed The Joshua Tree Tour celebrating the band's 1987 album of the same name to Mumbai. It will be the final stop of the international tour. “We are very much looking forward to bringing a dash of Dublin to Mumbai, India. A country famous for its rich culture of art, music, movies, theatre, literature, food and so much more. There is a lot of excitement in the U2 camp,” Adam had said some time back.
