A massive blizzard that blanketed much of the eastern United States set records, paralysed travel and damaged property.
Around 85 million people were affected by the massive Storm Jonas, which has left around 40 inches of snow in some areas.
More than two dozen weather-related deaths – from car crashes, shovelling snow and carbon monoxide – were reported by authorities.
The blizzard’s heavy snow, powerful winds and churning high tides collapsed roofs and inundated homes.
In total, 20 states were affected – tens of thousands of homes are now left without power, and Kentucky and Pennsylvania reported traffic jams lasting more than 12 hours.
