Madhuri, Asha Bhosle, Ashutosh Rana and more attend ‘15 August’ screening

It was a star-studded affair at the special screening of the film 15 August, in which Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Sriram Nene are the producers. Madhuri and her husband recently spoke to The Quint about the film.

The story follows a day in the lives of the residents of a Mumbai chawl. As they prepare for the flag-hoisting ceremony on Independence Day, mayhem unfolds when they are brought together by a man trying to woo his beloved.

The film has been directed by Swapnaneel Jaykar and stars Rahul Pethe, Mrunmayee Deshpande, and Adinath Kothare. 15 August will be available on Netflix from 29 March.
