Royal Challengers Bangalore have become the first team to book a slot in this IPL’s final after AB de Villiers and Iqbal Abdullah guided the team to a four-wicket victory over Gujarat Lions in the first qualifier on Tuesday.
RCB scored 159/6 to snatch the victory from the Lions with 10 balls to spare. All this while Virat Kohli sat and watched from the stands after falling for his first duck in 51 innings.
With AB carrying the team this time, the skipper was relegated to ‘cheerleader’ in the dugout, a job he apparently took pretty seriously.
The closer AB got RCB to the Finals, the closer Kohli got to the boundary line...
