The 10th edition of the Defence Expo held in Chennai was a marvellous display of the remarkable strides made by the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The biennial event saw more than 25 Indian and global companies participating in the Expo. It was open to public on select days, and the last day alone clocked over three lakh visitors.
Foreign players like Lockheed Martin and SAAB showcased their flagship fighter aircraft, and Indian firms like Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd had their own line-up of products.
The highlight of the event was the land, air and sea show put together by the Indian Armed Forces.
Visitors climbed on an Arjun Tank all through the day, and took selfies in front of the models of Akash missiles.
