Respected Prime Minister,
A few days ago, Government of India announced the introduction of National Health Policy. However, this has only deteriorated the situation of the doctors. Since the past few days, we've been hearing about the vandalism of hospitals and the beating of doctors.
Doctors are considered to be the most enlightened category in any society. The economic and social growth of any country depends on the health of the people. But if these doctors are not safe, then how can our nation be healthy?
The Constitution gives them the fundamental right to protect the citizens of their country, but here, the doctors are beaten during work, the hospital property is damaged, and the most tragic part is that the mechanism to protect them are not just ignorant, but also negligent.
It appears that these doctors have been arrested by all sections of the society from all sides. The police, instead of catching these criminals who take the law into their hands, incite them.
Our judicial officers use reprehensible language against doctors and reprimand them. If they are so afraid of the parents of the patients, then resign from their position and sit at home.
The fundamental right to protest is also taken away by the courts. If a sword always hangs on the head of the doctors, then how will they effectively treat the patient?
The irony of this country is that the doctor here is an animal, and it is expected that they take care of the patients, day-in and day-out, without worrying about anything else.
The real heritage and capital of any country is the intellectual level of its intellectuals. It is a matter of thinking that if the enlightened class of society is crushed, then how can the country develop?
The condition of these doctors, who are the so-called intellectual class of society, is worse than the labour class of the country.
In countries like Australia, these types of criminal elements go to jail for 14 years, but in India, the court says that if you want so much security, then why don’t you just sit at home.
It won't be surprising, if the talented, young, and patriotic doctors of our country are forced to flee abroad than live in such an unsafe environment.
