In a heart-warming gesture, the Michigan State Police and a group of truck drivers worked together to help prevent a suicide attempt in Detroit on 24 April.

CBS Denver reported that after police received intel that a man was about to jump off from a bridge on to the expressway, the police instructed the drivers of 13 trucks (18-wheelers) to line up under the bridge in an attempt to break his fall. Their efforts paid off. The man did not jump. He walked away from the bridge and was later taken to a nearby hospital by the authorities.
