The Quint caught up with Ambassador Shivshankar Menon, former National Security Adviser and Foreign Secretary of India to discuss his new book Choices: Inside the Making of India’s Foreign Policy.
In the discussion, Menon commented on surgical strikes and said they were “useful to restore balance”, but also added that their effects are not lasting since they do not cause “any real damage to terrorists”.
