Second Round of India-China NSG Talks Termed ‘Constructive’

The meet was held in Beijing between Joint Secretary Amardeep Singh Gill and his Chinese counterpart.

• India and China held discussions on India's bid for entry into Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG) during the second round of talks between their top nuclear experts in Beijing on Monday.
• The meet between Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security) Amardeep Singh Gill and China’s Director General of Department of Arms Control Wang Qun was termed as “substantive and constructive” by official sources.
• Monday’s talks come ahead of a possible informal consultation in next two months on India's membership in a NSG panel, headed by Argentine Ambassador Rafael Grossi.
