Pope Francis has prayed for the unfortunate victims of the continuous terror attacks that have taken place in Syria this week. In addition, he prayed that those spreading terror and responsible for the blasts get God’s compassion to “convert the hearts of those who sow death and destruction.”

The Pope condemned the death of innocent civilians and grieved over the death of eight children.

It is the duty of everyone to protect children, most of all those exposed to a high risk of exploitation, trafficking and deviant behaviours.

Seven deadly coordinated blasts claimed by ISIS in Syria killed over 150 people including children.

This is not the first time the Pope has offered prayers that he calls “our daily bread, our powerful weapon and the staff for our journey.” He previously prayed for the victims of the Charlie Hebdo shooting, which killed 12 people including the magazine’s editor.
