Death Toll Rises, More Explosives Recoverd During Search Operations
According to various reports, the death toll has risen to over 10 and more than 30 injured. As reported by Geo News, authorities recovered suicide jackets, two Klashnikovs, pistols, and explosives from the possession of deceased terrorists during combing operations.
The explosives and suicide jackets were disposed off later in a controlled explosion by the bomb disposal unit.
9 Killed, Over 30 Injured
Nine people have died in the attack on Peshawar University, while over 30 have been injured, PTI reports.
The injured are being treated at a Peshawar hospital.
Army Operation Terminated: 5 Terrorists Neutralised
The Pakistan army has officially terminated the operation in the attacks.
The number of injured in the Peshawar University attacks has gone up to 17. SSP (Operations), Sajjad Khan told Geo News that five terrorists have been neutralised.
Khan confirmed that the terrorists entered the campus wearing burqas and suicidal jackets and had come to the university in an auto-rickshaw.
3 Terrorists Neutralised in the Operations by Pak Army
According to latest reports from Geo News, Pakistan’s Inter -Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that 3 terrorists have been neutralised in the operations by the Pakistan army.
The security forces are carrying out search operations in the area for the presence of more terrorists. The rescue operations of students have been intensified.
SHO, Security Guard Among 11 Injured
The number of injured in the in the Peshawar University attacks has gone up to 11 as reported by Geo News. The injured include Farhad, the SHO of the university and the security guard of the university.
Amongst the injured are seven students out of which three have been shot and four have suffered multiple fractures as they jumped off the roof in an attempt to save themselves.
The roads around the university have been closed. As rescue operations are on, the authorities have refused to divulge more details of the operation due to security reasons.
