In a strong reaction to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Minister of State MJ Akbar on Wednesday said that a war machine and not a government runs Pakistan.
The Minister of State added that the glorification of a self-acknowledged terrorist by the Pakistan PM was shocking.
Responding to Sharif’s invocation of atrocities in Kashmir at the UNGA, Akbar said it was the Pakistan army that had occupied Kashmir.
MJ Akbar concluded by saying that india’s stance on dialogue with Pakistan has been consistent since day one, and that talks will not happen while the Pakistani government continues to engage in cross-border terrorism.
