- An Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) suicide bomber blew himself up in the southern Yemeni city of Mukalla on Sunday at a military base in the Fua suburb, local medical and security sources said.
- The victims were queuing up to register when the bomb went off, claiming the lives of at least 25 new recruits in the process.
- Earlier last week, the ISIS took responsibility of another suicide bombing that hit the city killing ten soldiers along with the bomber. Interestingly, Mukalla was a hub for Al Qaeda before the militant group was pushed out by Yemeni military last month.
