US President Donald Trump has his medical examination scheduled in early 2018, after which doctors would release his medical records, the White House said on Friday, 8 December, while terming the questions about his slurred speech “ridiculous.”
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to the internet speculation about Trump's seemingly slurred words, saying, "I know that there were a lot of questions on that – frankly, pretty ridiculous questions. The president's throat was dry – nothing more than that."
Trump noticeably mispronounced "states," when concluding an address to the nation on his decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The moment was quickly shared online, and prompted speculation about the 71-year-old president's health.
He does have a physical scheduled for the first part of next year, the full physical that most Presidents go through. That will take place at Walter Reed, and those records will be released by the doctor.Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary
The 71-year-old, who has been in the White House for nearly one year, has not publicly released any medical records.
