US President Donald Trump hosted his first solo press conference at White House on Thursday.
During his impromptu address – which went on for over an hour – Trump touched upon a number of issues, ranging from Russia’s alleged role in his election campaign to his electoral college win. The White House has unlisted the video of the event, so here are highlights from the conference:
1. Trump had an AWKWARD conversation with April Ryan, the White House correspondent and Washington bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks in Baltimore.
2. He said he knew how the media would cover the conference.
3. When asked about US-Russia ties, he casually touched upon the issue of a nuclear holocaust.
4. He discussed an alternate career:
5. Showered praise on his administration:
6. Decided to tell the press he was going to withhold information:
7. Brought up uranium in response to a question about Russia:
Through out the conference, he dismissed all the participating reporters’ attempts to fact check his claims.
“The public doesn’t believe you people anymore. Now, maybe I had something to do with that. I don’t know. But they don’t believe you,” he said.
