The unfortunate Uri attacks have raised a debate around banning Pakistani artists from India and sending them back to Pakistan. The acrimony between the two countries has yet again taken an ugly turn by targeting artists.
India and Pakistan have a lot in common especially including a rich overlapping culture. Moreover, art has no barriers and can not be contained by borders. Testifying this claim, we saw a few glimpses of former Pakistani Prime Minister Pervez Musharraf dancing to a Bollywood song.
General Saab could be seen shaking more than a leg on popular Bollywood songs from yester years and seemed to be having a good time while at it.
But who would have thought of Musharraf dancing to Bollywood chart busters. After all, his stories from the Kargil War are way too fresh in our memories, making the contrast between the two a little too jarring.
